two lovely occurrences

Today, we received the first snow of the season. We don't really get much, and it usually only snows on the mountain tops. But it is so, so beautiful, when it caps the tips and peaks in a coat of uneven white. I wish you had all been able to stand there with me and see it with your own eyes. The photos cannot do such a sight justice. How many of you currently living underneath a hot sun would trade for this? Do you prefer winter or summer? I personally struggle to choose between the two. They each have their own qualities and perks. They both offer things to be savoured when they're around, while they last for several months at a time.

Also, something else exciting happened. I saw Nine. One of my kindred spirits. A beaut with a golden soul that has always been there for me. I know her by her exquisite eyes and exquisite hair and exquisite smile, and by her compassionate, uniquely aesthetic spirit. It was the second time I've seen her in 'real life' and it was perfect. (Our friendship started off as a cyber friendship, until we finally met for the first time twenty two weeks ago)

I love. That. Smile.

And then there's me. Rocking an awkward pose. Yeah, no. (Photo credits go to Nine for this pic)

The view we have from our veranda is like, wow. Nine and I both agreed that we could gaze at it for almost forever without getting tired of it.
I'm filled with happiness whenever I remember the good things that took place today. Other things I haven't talked about also contributed to an exceptional Monday. Blessed, blessed, blessed goes through my head over and over again.

How was your Monday?

xoxo

  2. That's so cool that you guys are internet friends turned irl friends! I'm always afraid that internet people are really just fifty-year-old creeps in basements, no matter how many pics I see. But you guys restore some semblance of faith for me in who people on the internet say they are (although not too much faith to keep me from being safe :P)

    1. I agree. It's faaab-uuu-lousss. I'm glad it's somewhat of an encouragement of you, and tbh, I think the same way often. A similar image is installed in brain, and it pops up every now and then. But, I'm thrilled to know Nine. Thrilled.

  4. I, too, have a wonderful internet friend. The only problem is that she lives nearly 10,000 miles away from it. It's unlikely that one of us can just get up and visit the other person right now, but we're both crossing our fingers. ;) I love her so, so much, and I can't wait for the one day when I can actually hug her in real life. Do you and Nine live in the same area, or does she come in from far to visit you? You are both gorgeous!

    1. I have a dear friend in America. She is fabulous. And I miss her even though I've never met her. But I really hope to one day, just like you and your friend.
We live close-ish, but not very close. Same-ish area. OK, I'm gonna go, because that's enough ishes, I think.
Thanks very much, Sanjana, sweetie ♥

  6. The view from your veranda is like wow - so pretty, especially with the snow.
My Monday was good too - I'm just back from a two week music camp, so I'm still thinking about it all, laughing at the funny bits, and wishing it didn't have to end...

I'm happy about that. Society tends to scorn Mondays, but you know what? Give 'em a chance. Mondays can turn out to be pretty cool, once you get to know them. ;)

  10. Whaa?! Winter?! It's July..right? But those mountains.. oh my goodness! I have NEVER seen a mountain. Never. I am such a sad being. Do you live outside of the USA? (don't worry, I understand if you don't want to answer. :)) I am so glad you were able to see your friend again! You are both so beautiful. :)

    1. Haha, yes, it's July. Which means summer for you, but winter for me, since I live in the southern hemisphere. So, yep, I live outside of USA.
I'm glad about that as well, and thank you so much! You are not a sad being, darling. But mountains are beautiful. Perhaps you should visit one day and see them for real.

    2. Now that, is pretty cool! :D Have you ever been to the states (or anywhere above the southern hemisphere?) ? I would loooove to see a mountain.. or more, because they usually don't just sit alone. ;) I plan to travel to hike a mountain someday..ah, hopefully someday soon. :)

    3. Well, I think it's pretty cool that you live in America. But, I do love my country. I have been to the states, long ago when I was about 6 months old, so I don't think that counts. I also want to travel someday soon...even the idea makes my nerves tingle with excitement. A serious case of wanderlust here.

    4. Ohh, that is cool though. I haven't traveled out of the states..nor much in the states. lol! Hey, I know the same feeling! I have a whole pinterest board dedicated to my traveling wanderlust. :D
