Hey there. I'm Tane, and I'm glad you've found here.
I guess I'm about to tell you about myself, although I'll no doubt be continually updating this page- I'm ever changing and learning.
The first and utter most important thing about me is that belong to Jesus. I am saved. Saved by grace, saved by my King, saved by Jesus when He died for me. I'm just an empty shell, if even that, without Him. He has shown me what love is, and He is teaching me how to love like Him. This blog follows my life as I grow in the grace of my God and learn not only about myself and who He wants to be, but also about the world around me.
I would be thrilled if you joined me on my journey.
[I congratulate you in advance if you read this entire page. Vous ĂȘtes brillante.]
I am a scatter brained nineteen-year-old. I've got creative hands and a curious mind, and my wild imagination is never far behind.
But more specifically, I am...
a photographer • South African • a constant doodler • an indefatigable writer (spend some time on my Wattpad page and read some stories if you have time and if that's your kind of jazz) • a web designer • an artist (if you want to find out more about my art click here) • a green tea drinker • a relentless book reader • an INFJ (for all you Myers Briggs people) • a tennis player • an adventure seeker • a star gazer • wanderlust • a quote collector • a home school graduate • girlfriend to the most amazing guy (his name is Michard and although I admit I'm biased, he's in all serious truth the best) • a sister to eleven WONDERFUL peeps and a daughter to two lovely, stronghearted people (you can see pictures of my family here) • a dreamer who doesn't stop dreaming, even when she wakes up •
And I love:
horizantal stripes / words / chocolate / pizza / the ocean / instagram / windy days / colour / mini marshmallows / puppies / friends / baking / language / cameras / minimalism / ironies / redemption / magical places / sunsets / pinterest / ice cream / walking around barefoot / wildflowers / forgiveness / fruit juice / bad puns / puns in general / constellations / plush toys / hoodies / pink skies / people / cheesecake / succulents / literature / summer / animals / adventures / typography / french / old movies / hiking / music (especially worship music and jazz) / guinea pigs / Jesus / thunderstorms / swimming / the smell of fresh air / my boyfriend / my family / soft blankets / spontaneous smiles / hugs / autumn / you / yes, you
Your turn. What's your story? If you have a blog, I definitely want to check it out, so leave a link below. ♥
I just found your blog via Lauren at Loving Our Creator. I love it! It always inspires me when I find other Christian bloggers :)

Hey, Mary! Thank you so much for the follow, I really appreciate it. When I find other Christian bloggers, it encourages me too. And I'm glad you're inspired- that's one of my goals as a blogger, to inspire others.
DeleteI just loooveee your blog! I rarely find a blog that I love so much. You and I have so many things in common! I am a sister to 8, loove ice cream, pinterest, thunderstorms, mountains, baking, etc! And we are very close in age (I'm 15 - will be 16 in a month though). Keep blogging girl.. oh and BTW, you are simply gorgeous. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julia ♥ That's so sweet of you to say! It's wonderful to hear of someone else who has a lot of brothers and sisters as well. I think we'd get on well if we were to be friends in real life.
DeleteAwh. J, thank you very very much! You are a stunner yourself.
Oh, I know.. It's so rare to see bloggers with many siblings. :p I wish there were more! And since your blog name is sooo obvious (lol) what is it like being a younger sibling? I am the 2nd oldest, so I pretty often feel like I'm the oldest since my sister is 3 years older than I am. I mean, she is going to college this fall and I'm just starting my junior year! lol! I agree..and I would love to get to know you more! :)
DeleteOhh no way, I wish I had brown hair like you. ;)
Julie, girl. (May I be granted permission to call you that?) You. ARE. Beautiful. Okay? And how come you wish for brown hair? ;)
DeleteHmm...yeah, well, I'm smack bang in the middle of everyone. It's cool. But you get mature and immature personality types, so...some don't act like the youngest and some don't act like the oldest. How is it being one of the oldest? :)
We should get to know each other more, yes, definitely.
Yes you may! It's halarious, but I usually don't like being called Julie. I think it's because everyone who says it has a weird tone to their voice. But, you on the other hand, are saying it as a cute nickname. I love it! :D Awh...you are so sweet.. <3 Oh, I don't know, I just love how people with brown hair can style it, etc. You should see my older sister's hair! it is soo like your's, but longer.
ReplyDeleteHmm.. it is nice being one of the oldest. It is also hard.. you've got soo many little ones looking up to you! lol! I do love being an older sis though. I simply adore my little sibs! :D
I agree! ;) Do you have any nicknames? :D
Haha, some people call me Taney. Or Tangerine. But I can't tell you the rest of my nicknames; they are far too embarrassing. *insert blush emoticon here*
DeleteI can always call you Jewel. What about that? I prefer it to Julie anyways.
I think blonde hair is wonderful as well. And I really love red hair...yes, I know. It's tough when you have a lot of younger ones below you and you have to be the good example. I have five younger than me and four older.
i love your blog so much!!!!!!!!!!!! though i'm rushed for time now I'll be sure to return soon a take a look around. thanks for the follow ^-^ you're lovely
ReplyDeleteHi, Olivia! Thank you so much. I adore yours...and thank you as well for the follow. You're lovelier. ♥
DeleteOh my goodness we like the same things! :P I have a small family though haha...2 younger brothers. Although I'm curious, what's the meaning behind your blog name? :)
ReplyDeletehttps://everydaylifewithjessann.wordpress.com/
Haha! It's always cool when you can relate.
DeleteOh, that, that's something I should have up, like, you know, 'about the blog'. So, anyway. I come fifth out of ten out of all of the children in my family, and I used 'Fifth out of Ten' because it represents a part of me, I guess. If that makes sense?
Wahhhhh Tane! Iv'e heard so much about you! I'm friends with Aaliyah, and she told me you had a blog as well! I got so excited! I love it so much! You have been such an inspiration! Thank you, dearest. -JacyRayn (:
ReplyDeleteHeyyy, Jacy! Haha, you are so super sweet! Girl, thanks so much. Your comment is such an encouragement.
DeleteJust found your blog and so glad I did! LOVE IT! Excited to keep updated with you! :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have atelophobia. Chocolate, pizza, instagram, colour, friends, baking, cameras, sunsets, pinterest, ice cream, hoodies, french (studied it for 5 years and am obsessed with all things parisian), spontaneous smiles and hugs are some of my favourite things also! Hehe.

Awh, thank you, Raashi! It sounds like we have a lot in common. I'll have to check out your website. x
DeleteI just stumbled across your blog and love what I see! Plus, I agree with everything that you said up there and am fully convinced that we should be friends! Keep it going girl!
ReplyDeleteYour new blogging friend
Hannah ~Grace in Everything~
We should be friends, I agree. And we will be. Thank you so much, Hannah! I love comments like yours, they are so uplifting. They are part of what keeps me blogging, other than my love of writing. xoxo
DeleteHi Tane. Nice to meet someone else from South Africa. Be blessed.
ReplyDeleteHey Salomé, it's nice to meet you too! Bless you as well.
DeleteI love the way you tell us that you are a Christian! His grace is so abundant, isn't it? I also love the clean and simple style your blog has. My blog still isn't exactly the way I'd like it to be in the long run, but I'm working on it. I think it's neat that you're a South African (I can even tell by your looks), because I have some South African friends, whom I met last year, and before that I didn't know any, but I seem to run into them all the time now! Oh, and the thing I really wanted to comment in the first place about, was that I am the fifth of eight! So we have a lot in common, I'd say. Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteIt is overwhelmingly abundant. And thank you so much, you're so sweet! I love your blog as well!
DeleteYou can tell by my looks? That's interesting, haha. But I LOVE your looks. YOUR HAIR. It's fire hair.
It is always wonderful to meet someone else that lives in a big family and can relate. Thank you for commenting on my blog, I so appreciate it! I'll be checking yours out.
Well, um, hi!! Your blog is seriously stinking awesome! I love your design and pictures and ugh. It's just so perfect!!

Kate, your comment meant so much to me. I'm really touched and I appreciate everything you've said. Blessings to you, too. <3
DeleteHello Tane,
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you, you are brilliant too.
As for me, I have blue eyes. Brown hair with copper tints in sunlight. I am fifteen too! I like to think I have a curious mind too. I have creative streaks, and... lets not get started on my insane imagination, eh? :)
I am: american (unfortunately...but I'm part Irish!!)-reader- more of a sketcher than a doodler - writer!! -tea drinker, definitely - I thirst for adventure and find it in books - oh the stars... I could gaze for years - quoter, literally all. the. time - I too am homeschooled and proud - sister to eleven
A dreamer of impossible things... I never wake up.
If I told you all the things I love... I would end at eternity. I will borrow all of yours for now. :)
As I mentioned I have 11 siblings... and I am the fifth too!!! Can we pause here for an excited laugh?
"I'm singin' in the rain! Just singin' in the rain! What a glorious feel and I'm happy again!"
-Singing In The Rain (did I mention I love singing?)
"Masquerade! Paper faces on parade! Masquerade, hide your face so the world will never find you."
-The Phantom of the Opera
"Thanks for saving my life back there. Even if, you know, it turns out to be pointless."
-Wildstyle, from the Lego Movie
Okay, I'll stop quoting now. Sorry! I didn't mean this comment to be so long!
~Your Friend in the Yellow Shirt
Esther! Forget get the excited laugh, I think an excited squeal is appropriate! How awesome to find another who has so very much in common with me. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you better! I can tell we're going to be friends.
DeleteThank you for your wonderful comment!
Okay! *excited squeal* I was going to squeal but wasn't sure if it as appropriate so hooray! We are definitely kindred spirits. I am so glad. I can't wait to get to know you either!
DeleteHere, have some chocolate! *hands you a box*

Thank you so much, Nicole! I enjoy your blog as well.
Deletehello tane hannah, just stop by to say hello, so 'hello,' your blog is wonderful & wonderfully designed, I'm always interested in how people design/decorated their blog because it reveals a lot about a blogger. I like the light touch of pink/gold palette and the dots add a sense of fun. your photography is just terrific. sorry, if I keep using too many adjectives...
ReplyDeleteanyway, thank you for visiting my blog. hope you have a lovely day.
Hey Lissa, thank you very very much for your lovely comment. No, not too many adjectives at all, you made me smile and I appreciate that.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Emily! That's so sweet of you to say. x
DeleteHi, Tane! I love your blog! And it seems we have some things in common, after reading your bio. I'm the oldest of five, and I am a homeschooled writer who loves Jesus and gets caught daydreaming much too often, adores trying to speek the French language (I lived in Europe for awhile), loves anything with a high amount of sugar and bookish things. I hope you can check out my blog (godgalthatswhoibe.wordpress.com).
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a nice day!
Micaiah
Hi Micaiah! Thank you so much. Yes, it definitely sounds like we do. And I will check out your blog ASAP!

Haha, I don't know about that, Evelyn. Didn't mean to give you any false idea of myself, because I definitely am not amazing.
DeleteI think that's an adorable name for a succulent.
Thank you for dropping by, girl. x
Stumbled across your blog, and wow! I love it! Ten kids is a lot. I'm the oldest of six, and they're all *technically* my half siblings, but I've never thought of them that way. My mom was a single mom - had me when she was nineteen, so I can relate a bit. :D
ReplyDeleteAnyways, so cool to meet a fellow homeschooler/big family member/lover of the Lord! And everything you mentioned you love? Ummmmmm me too. :D Like, tea and stars and quotes and all of it!!
Hope to see you pick up blogging again, you fabulous person. :D
