August Days, Part 2 | 2016

Here's the conclusion to my previous 'August Days' post. I know this is only just in time to still be a legit August post. Oh well...the life of a procrastinator...
I have been...

+ struggling to keep my room tidy. Like, really. I can tidy it and make it perfect one day, and magically, on the next day, it looks like a bomb hit it. I wonder how it happens.

+ messing with oil paints and then taking a photo, because of course.

+ visiting a wildlife awareness centre with the cousins.

+ having a love/hate relationship with the rain that has been occurring quite often.

+ drinking pomegranate juice and finding I love it. (I don't exactly remember but this probably happened in June)

+ spending time with this girl.

+ reading Fourth Dawn by Bodie and Brock Thoene. Interesting but unimportant and weird fact: their surname is pronounced Tay-nee, which is what I'm often called. Except my name's version of the spelling is 'Taney'.

+ failing miserably in my plan to eat healthy for the whole of August, and relishing it. ;)

This post wasn't that long or too interesting, but I hope it was worth your while none the less. Let me know in a comment below, if you're up to it.

OH AND TOMORROW IS THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, I'M SO HAPPY, PEOPLE.

  1. Yes, happy spring to you! (And can I add, it's refreshing to read of someone who's on the same side of the planet as me. :)

I'm having similar feelings about all the rain we we're having here too - I like it, but it makes me appreciate the sunny days more. :)

Anyway, it was nice to read more about your August, Tane! Hope September is a great month for you too. xx

  3. I'm TOTALLY with you with the tidy bedroom problem, one day it's immaculate and I'll tell myself, "Right, keep it that way!"
... Then boom! The carpet is scattered with clothes and my desk is piled with books, books and more books. Oops...
I adore the photo of your hands covered with paint, it's beautiful!
    Fab post Tane <3

  5. Tane! HELLO! I feel like I never see your posts anymore, but I love this one! HAPPY SPRING. Fall is around the corner here and I am uber excited. I am tired of the hot weather, I am sure it's the opposite on your end! That juice looks beyond yummy. And August seems like it's been treating you well. I am sad it's almost gone. ENJOY THE LAST DAY!

  8. Ooh, spring! That sounds great! In America, we are going into fall, which I'm very excited about.

My room is often messy too. I am a clean freak, though, so I try to keep it reasonably tidy. My room is more clutter than mess, usually.

Anyway, random thoughts! Have a great day! :)

  11. Tane! Yes, oil pastel photos are some of the best things to be taking photos of. And I feel you on the love-hate relationship with the rain. Usually, it's several days of rain, several days of sunshine, but now, it's every two weeks, the weather switches back and forth. It's unbelievable!

Happy first day of spring to you!

    xoxo Morning

    1. Thank you so much, Grace! Yes, I do feel blessed. Spring is lovely, the colours surrounding me in the garden and even when I visit the beach are beautiful. I'm enjoying it.

Haha, so is my room. One BIG wreck. And I'm not joking.

Pomegranate juice is so good! Or is it passion fruit juice that I like? Maybe it is. I have a horrible memory. I also had the idea that I was going to eat healthily in August, but that failed quite miserably. Ice cream.....
