June days

I think that I've only just grasped the full realization that it is now June.
Months pass, and while you live within them, you know the whole time that they are passing, and yet, before you know it, they are gone. Sometimes, when I try to catch up with the month, it brings back memories of me as a little kid, trying to catch butterflies. Following a butterfly as it flitted through the air and clamping my hands around it gently when it landed on a flower. Then I'd open my hands only to find that, somehow, the butterfly had flown away before I had even closed my hands. Just like that. In the blink of an eye.

I think I must have blinked. And just like that, it's June the 24th, 2015.

lately...

+ drawing a black & white self portrait with charcoal
+ buying my first choker (I've wanted one for long. And I love it)
+ dancing in the rain (Okay, that's not entirely truthful. Does dancing inside the house while it pours outside count?)
+ enjoying having enough time to post more currently
+ sorting out a much needed exercise routine for the near future (Ugh.)
+ really looking forward to the holidays (Also in the near future)
+ hot chocolate and marshmallows (Because what would winter be without them?)

+ trooping around the garden in slippers with my Canon to get a few nature shots
+ loving succulents

+ listening to See You Again by Wiz Khalifa (ft. Charlie Puth)
+ receiving my new DNA headphones in the mail

+ writing loads of poetry (You guys aren't tired of it, are you?)
+ bundling up in warm clothes and using snoods almost everyday (Winter is in full swing)
+ planning on watching Insurgent at the theater soon with some friends (To those who have already watched it, was it good?)
+ finishing a book series by Jenny Han (The Summer I Turned Pretty)
+ drinking cranberry tea, all the time (New fave)

  3. It's Winter where I am too, and I'm quite loving it. The warm drinks, the idea of sitting inside and writing or watching TV, snuggled in bed or on the couch with my new laptop. I can't believe it's June already either, but right now I'm loving moving forward. I happen to be about to read some Jenny Han too - PS I Still Love You is out and if you don't know what that is, go read To All the Boys I've Loved Before. I need to exercise regularly too, because the downside of Winter is that it makes me lazy. I just don't want to go outside.

    1. I am appreciating winter this time around, I won't lie. But I think my favorite season must be Autumn... Yes, I know! I've heard of both of those books, and I really really want to read them. I think I'll bug my mom to maybe order them online. ;)
Yeah, when it's cold, and you just feel like snuggling, exercising can be pretty annoying. But yesterday, I started. I won't give up! (*whispers* actually not sure if I'll hold to that statement)

  4. It's so weird to see "June Days" and then see "winter" and "holidays" because here it's very summer and to me June always registers as "heat" and "pools" and "no school" haha.

See You Again is amazing and constantly makes me tear up (especially when you see the music video with shots of Paul Walker). And I just made a morning exercise routine for myself too--whether I'm sticking to it or not is a different matter :P

Love this post! (and how you admitted that you didn't literally dance in the rain as I'm always suspicious of people who say that--I've stood outside in dumping rain before and I sustained emotional injuries)

Ikr? It's heartbreaking. Like, Paul, no...
I started with my routine (as I mentioned in my previous comment) and I'm hoping to stick to it. Wish me luck.
You made me laugh :) With that last mini paragraph.

I'll never get tired of your poetry, though I may not comment because I run out of words. It's way too good for my soul.

But y'know what? I would not mind some sun. I'm busy shivering and shaking as I type this. And my hands are going numb, so I keep typing the wrong letters.

Awh, Cally, thank you so much!

Lucky winter. xP I'm on vacation right now in a place that has a rainy season and sadly to say, I get awaken every morning by the thunder crashing out sound. When you're done with the charcol self portrait you should definitely post about it! ^.^

    xoxo Morning
